The 99,500gt Mein Schiff 4 was floated out at Meyer Turku on 10th October 2014 (above) and on 18th November Meyer Turku Oy celebrated the start of production of the Mein Schiff 5.

The event was witnessed by members of Meyer Turku, TUI Cruises, DNV GL and media representatives. The cutting machine was started by Mr Mike Schwanke, Marketing Director of TUI Cruises. The Mein Schiff 5 is the third Mein Schiff class cruise ship being built at Turku Shipyard.

The start of production of the Mein Schiff 6 will take place on or around 19th November 2015. On 27th November the 99,526gt/2014 built Mein Schiff 3 inaugurated the new cruise ship pier in Puerto del Rosario (Fuerteventura, Canary Islands).
