Launched in 1906, RMS Lusitania soon became the fastest and the largest ship in the world but, just nine years later, her record-breaking career was cut short by a German torpedo.

Lusitania is now sadly remembered for her tragic destruction, sinking in eighteen minutes with the loss of around 1,200 souls.

Now Eric Sauder, the author of “The Unseen Olympic” and “The Unseen Britannic”, has researched and put together a collection of superb never before published photographs of this innovative ship. These include the ship undergoing construction, sumptuous interiors, the poignant aftermath of the torpedo attack, many photos of staff and passengers on board, and some fascinating colour photos of the ships remains on the sea bottom. The accompanying text has been researched over a number of years and provides much previously unpublished information.

This is a fascinating book filled with high quality photographs and I would very highly recommend it to our readers.
