S1601-06 Seven Seas Explorer

On 30th October the 56,000gt/223m long and 750 passenger Seven Seas Explorer, the first super luxury cruise ship that Fincantieri is building for Regent Seven Seas Cruises, was launched at the shipyard in Sestri Ponente (above).

The fitting out process then began ahead of a scheduled delivery of summer 2016. The ceremony was attended for the shipowner by Robin Lindsay, executive vice president of vessel operations, while Fincantieri was represented, among others, by Raffaele Davassi, director of the Sestri Ponente’s shipyard.

Godmother of the ceremony was Antonia Ronchi, an employee of Fincantieri.
