Photo Gallery Of Today – Barcelona

The port of Barcelona is well known for being a major cruise ship destination. Often the mole is a long row of such ships. However many other types of vessels use the port. It is a major ferry port as a gateway to the Balearic Islands and we featured some of these ferries in May 2012 edition. This month we look at some of the other ships in the port.

The 27,093gt vitality of Rexanax Shipping. She was built in 2002 by STX Shipbuilding at Jinhae as the Laconikos. She was soon renamed MOL Santiago but in 2004 reverted to her original name. Later that year she became CMA CGM vitality while on charter, and in 2006 she was renamed Vitality. In June 2015 she was sold to Berwick Shipping of Cyprus and renamed Berwick.
