Volume 2

by Bernard McCall

Coasters of the 1970s is the latest in the popular ‘Coasters of … ‘ series. This hardback full-colour album details coasters built in the 70s over 96 pages and with 106 photographs. Some ships remain in their original guise while others are documented throughout their life after being sold and/ or modernised.

The colour photographs are accompanied by detailed captions that tell more about the ship and, in some cases, the building yard.

Bernard McCall has written over 20 maritime books in the last two decades and has a passion for anything ship shaped.

He established Coastal Shipping magazine in 1994 and with his wife Doreen runs a busy publishing company specialising in maritime and general transport books.

This ‘coffee table’ series of Coastal Shipping never disappoints and this new book is no exception.

The books are always accompanied by superb quality photographs, and a full comprehensive history of each vessel featured is also given.

I would very highly recommend this book to any of our readers who have an interest in Coastal Shipping.
