The 22,788gt heavy load carrier Tern of Dockwise Shipping BV in the Calland Canal in June 2015 on her way to India. The Tern was built in 1982 by Kaldnes MV at Tonsberg as the Dyvi Tern for K/S Dyvi Swan A/S of Oslo. In 1988 she became Tern H.L. of Tern Cia Naviera SA and the following year they renamed her Sea Tern. She joined Dockwise in 1996. On 11th March 2017 she arrived at Aliaga to be broken up by Simsekler.
Onboard her are the dredgers Stepan Demeshev and Vlaanderen XVIII which had just been purchased by Mercator Ltd. of Mumbai. The 2,081gt Stepan Demeshev was built in 1988 by Neptun VEB at Rostock for the USSR. She now sails as Vakul Prem for Mercator Ltd. The 9,640gt Vlaanderen XVIII was built in 1970 by Smit at Kinderdijk for Dragages Decloedt et Zoon SA of Zeebrugge and now operates for Mercator as Veera Prem.
