Southampton’s main types of ships these days are cruise ships, containerships and vehicle carriers. There is also a small amount of bulk cargo refrigerated cargo here we look at some of the latest containerships that visit the port. These are considerably larger than the early container ships (shown on the Photo Gallery of Yesterday – Early Containerships at Southampton).
