The Westhinder Anchorage is situated off the coast of Belgium and is used by vessels awaiting clearance to dock at Antwerp, Ghent, Zeebrugge and Ostend. The anchorage area has been demarcated, and complemented by an area to be avoided between the anchorage area and the traffic separation scheme Westhinder. The anchorage area is also a possible refuge for ships that need assistance. Here we look at some of the vessels at the anchorage in August 2014.
