Here we look at some of the Thames tugs of yesterday. These tugs are all part of the fleet of Alexandra Towing, although the ‘Sun’ tugs joined the fleet after the acquisition of London Tugs Ltd. on 1st January 1975. London Tugs Ltd. had been established in 1969 when W. H. J. Alexander Ltd. (Sun Tugs), joined Ship Towage (London) Ltd.
