A sunny day in Liverpool in April 1969. On the left is the Indian freighter Indian Tradition of the Indian SS Co. Ltd. and on the right is the Kingsnorth Fisher of James Fisher & Sons Ltd.


The 9,398grt Indian Tradition was built in 1960 by Howaldtswerke at Hamburg. In August 1980 she arrived at Bombay to be broken up by Shree Sai Baba Shipbreaking Co. The 2,355grt Heavy Lift Ship Kingsnorth Fisher was built in 1966 by Hall Russell at Aberdeen. In 1990 Fishers renamed her New Generation and in 2001 she was renamed New Gen for her final voyage to the breakers in Alang where she arrived on 19th December to be broken up by Diamond Industries.
