It was announced in November that from 1st January a new company, NMT Africa, will offer regular sailings between Europe and Dakar, Abidjan, Tema, Lagos and Pointe Noire.

The NMT Group, a Dutch company specialising in the shipping of vehicles and rotating stock, purchased the assets of RMR Shipping, the company that operates between Northern Europe and the West African coast, where it operates the Five Star Terminal hub in the port of Tin Can in Lagos, Nigeria.

RMR operates mainly links between Antwerp, Rouen and Thamesport and the African ports of Abidjan, Dakar and Lagos.
