The newest 133,500gt Vista-class ship Carnival Panorama will be servicing Mexican Riviera itineraries from a home port in Long Beach, California from late 2019. The new 3,960 passenger vessel is set to offer seven-day Mexican Riviera cruises.

The company’s schedule of cruises to Cuba is to be expanded to include round-trip sailings from Miami. The 70,053gt/1993 built Carnival Sensation (above) will operate 17 5-day voyages in 2019. Until now, Carnival has only offered round-trip sailings to Cuba from Tampa aboard the Tampa-based 70,390gt/1998 built Carnival Paradise. Rival Norwegian Cruise Line has also announced the addition of 7, 9 and 13-night Cuba sailings to its schedule.

The Carnival Fascination (above) resumed her year-round schedule of seven-day southern Caribbean departures from San Juan on 18th February following an extensive multi-million dollar dry dock that added a variety of popular food and beverage concepts.

The 70,390gt/1998 built Carnival Paradise (above) underwent an extensive 4-week, multi-million dollar refurbishment during February-March in Freeport, Bahamas.

On 1st March Carnival Cruise Lines announced that Queen Latifah, a Grammy award-winning musical artist, acclaimed television and film actress, label president, author and entrepreneur, had been named as godmother to Carnival Cruise Line’s newest ship, the 133,500gt Carnival Horizon (above). The christening ceremony will be held during an invitation only overnight gala aboard the Carnival Horizon in New York City on 23rd May 2018.
