On 28th April the 133,596gt Carnival vista (above), the new flagship of the fleet of Carnival Cruise line, was delivered today at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Monfalcone. The 323m long ship is the thirteenth ship built so far by Fincantieri for Carnival and the largest.

She has 1,967 passenger cabins, 785 for the crew, and can accommodate 4,977 passengers on board, with a total capacity of over 6,400 people, including the staff. The ship repositioned to Trieste, Italy, from where she departed on her maiden voyage on 1st May. in October the ship will undertake a 13-day trans-Atlantic crossing ahead of operating two 11-day cruises from New York in November and then launching year-round Caribbean service from Miami later that month.
