It was announced on 29th September that the 5,743gt/1998 built Manannan had returned to full power and resumed her original schedule after repairs to one of the four engines were completed.

The vessel suffered a failed crankshaft in July and, to avoid removing her from service at a peak time, the craft continued in operation at a reduced speed until September when an overnight withdrawal from service permitted full repairs.

The I.o.M.S.P. Co. has announced that there will be extra Liverpool services and increased availability of offer fares in 2015. The Manannan will operate 48 additional seasonal Liverpool sailings in 2015 plus the schedule also includes extra year round services to Heysham.
