Costa has announced that, starting in April 2017, the 57,150gt/1993 built Costa neoRomantica will be based in Asia year-round. The ship will be the fifth Costa fleet member deployed regularly in Asia and operated by the Costa Asia brand.
The Costa neoRomantica is set to arrive in Shanghai on 10th April 2017 after a 23-day positioning cruise departing in March from Port Louis, Mauritius and calling at Port Victoria (Seychelles), Malè (Maldives), Colombo (Sri Lanka), Phuket (Thailand), Singapore, da Nang (Vietnam) and Hong Kong. once in Shanghai, the ship will be dry docked to undergo refurbishment works that will customise her for Asian guests. The first cruise dedicated to the local market is scheduled to sail from Shanghai on 24th April 2017.
The 53,015gt/1991 built Costa Neoclassical looks set to be relocated to Mumbai as the Costa group looks to expand its international cruise options.
