Viking Ocean Cruises’ Viking Star was delivered on 28th March at Fincantieri’s Marghera Shipyard.

The 47,800gt and 465 cabin/930 passenger capacity ship is the first of three sisterships, the others being the Viking Sea and Viking Sky.

A few days later the 10,992gt super luxury cruise ship Le Lyrial built at Fincantieri’s Ancona yard for French cruise line Ponant (Bridgepoint Group) was delivered on 11th April. The French flagged ship is a sister to the Le Boreal, L’Austral and Le Soleal, delivered respectively in May 2010, April 2011 and June 2013.
