The Veronica, built in 1966 as the Kungsholm (above), later becoming P&O Cruise’s first Sea Princess/Victoria and ending her service life as the Mona Lisa, has been sold to Indian scrap merchants.

The ship was last used at Duqm, Oman as a floating hotel. However, there was a campaign underway to save the ship and relocate her to Sweden as a hotel ship under the name of Kungsholm. However this would appear to have failed as the ship is now under tow for India.
