The company’s three ships Black Watch, Braemar and Balmoral all entered dry dock at the Blohm+Voss shipyard in Hamburg, Germany in November and December, in preparation for the forthcoming 2015/16 cruise season.
This is the first time that so many Fred. Olsen ships have undergone refurbishment within such short succession. Work began on the 28,613gt/1972 built and 804 guest Black Watch on 4th November. The ship then returned to work on Fred. Olsen’s first-ever sell out Mystery Cruise of 14 nights, which sailed from Tilbury on 15th November. The 24,344gt/1993 built Braemar arrived in Hamburg on 12th November prior to her next cruise from Southampton on 20th November.
Finally, the 43,537gt/1988 built Balmoral arrived in Hamburg on 9th December and resumed her service from Southampton on 19th December.
