The first of Cruise and Maritime Voyages (CMV) Anniversary cruises celebrating 50 years of the legendary 22,080gt/1965 built cruise ship Marco Polo, set sail on 23rd July from Rosyth and called at Tilbury on 24th July en-route.

The ship was originally called the Alexandr Pushkin, after the Russian poet, and operated regular crossings from Leningrad (now St. Petersburg) to Montreal in Canada via London Tilbury.
