Having closed the historic DFDS Esbjerg- Harwich ferry route upon arrival back in Esbjerg on 29th September the 22,382gt/2003 built Sirena Seaways entered service on 7th October between Paldiski and Kapellskär. The former Esbjerg ship replaced the 19,332gt/1991 Patria Seaways, formerly Stena Traveller, in a response to rising demand.

A week prior to the closure of the Harwich-Esbjerg service the 19,321gt/1978 built Moby Line’s Moby Corse returned home to the Danish port. Built as the Dana Anglia and renamed Duke of Scandinavia in 2002 the ship served DFDS Seaways until 2006 when she transferred to Brittany Ferries as the Pont L’Abbe until 2009. A new career with Moby Lines then began but now she is on charter as an accommodation and supply vessel for wind farm workers for seven months.

She will be based at her old home port and also rubbed shoulders with former Newcastle/Harwich DFDS fleetmate Wind Ambition. This 13,336gt/1974 built wind farm accommodation ship was formerly known as the King of Scandinavia before service in the Mediterranean from 1998.
