Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line’s 47,263gt/1987 built Grand Celebration was scheduled to enter service in place of the 35,855gt/1981 built Bahamas Celebration (now sold for scrap) on 1st February 2015. However, around 1,000 booked cruise passengers who arrived at the port of Palm Beach to board their ship on her first cruise were disappointed.

The trip was cancelled as the Grand Celebration had a faulty public address system. The rescheduled inaugural voyage eventually departed on 3rd February.
