Holland America Line’s 57,092gt/1996 built Veendam missed her seven day cruises from Quebec City, Canada to Boston on 5th and 11th October due to technical problems.

The previous itinerary was also curtailed on 1st October when the propeller problem first arose. The ship was initially tended to in Quebec but later moved to a dry dock in Philadelphia when the propeller fault was found to be worse than anticipated.
