Viking Cruises christened its first ocean going cruise ship, the 930-guest Viking Star in Bergen, Norway, on 17th May.

The ship was christened by Bergen Mayor Trude Drevland in a ceremony that coincided with the celebration of Norway’s National Constitution Day.

The Viking Star, which debuted in April this year, is the first of three ships ordered by Viking Cruises. The remaining two are expected to join the company’s fleet in 2017.
