Atlas Ocean Voyages announced on 12th September that physiotherapist and British Army Captain Harpreet “Preet” Kaur Chandi MBE will serve as the godmother for the 9,934gt/2020-built World Voyager (above). She completed a solo expedition across Antarctica to the South Pole in 2022 and in January 2023, she recorded the longest-ever solo and unsupported one-way polar ski expedition. She was also appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2022 Birthday Honours. The christening ceremony for the World Voyager took place on 8th November 2023, in Ushuaia, Argentina.

The ship joins the 9,930gt/2022-built World Traveller (above) and 9,923gt/2021-built World Navigator in the fleet. The World Voyager completed her final cruise for Nicko Cruises in September via a short 4-night round trip from Hamburg, with calls at Cuxhaven, Haarlingen and Heligoland. The ship then went to a shipyard in Portugal for preparations prior to transferring to Atlas Ocean Voyages. Owned by Mystic Cruises, the World Voyager originally entered service in 2020 for Nicko Cruises.
